City Park Criterium 2007

Thank you!

Thanks to all who attended the 2007 City Park Criterium! It was a spectacular day of racing, with fantastic weather, intense competition and lots of lots of fun. A special thanks goes out to our sponsors, who generously offered many gifts ranging from cash to Chipolte burritos to theraputic massages to events at La Boheme and much much more. We also crowned the Colorado Master's Criterium Champions, congradulations goes to Bryon Nix (SM 34+, Green Mountain Sports Velo), Glenn Sanders (Subway/Peerless Tyre, SM45+), Steve Worley (Subway/Peerless Tyre, SM55+), Fran Scannell (Schwab Cycles Racing Team, SM65+), Kimerly Nuffer (ColoBikeLaw.com, SW 35+), Anne Lannan (Vitamin Cottage Cycling Team, SW 45+ ), Lark Birdsong (ColoBikeLaw.com, SW 55+), and Eleanor Hamre (Blue Sky Velo, SW 65+). City Park Criterium Poster (PDF Link)Rocky Mountain Road Club is proud to present the 36th annual Fred Prindle Memorial Denver City Park Criterium on Sunday, June 3rd, 2007. This years race will crown the ACA 2007 Colorado Masters Criterium Champion and is a part of the Tom Danielson Junion Cycling Cup series. ACA/ROL Wheels neutral support provided.

The Course

Criterium racing is a staple of American bicycle racing and features great spectator appeal and a fast, action-packed format. The City Park circuit is no exception. The tight and fast course through several round-abouts is easily accessible for fans and participants alike (click here for an aerial overview of the course). If you’ve never seen a criterium, please make plans to attend!

Colorado State Masters Crit Championship Eligibility

To be eligible for Colorado State Championship medals and/or jacket you must hold a current annual ACA license, and must have continuously resided in Colorado for the past six(6) months.

Directions and Parking

 

Click here for interactive directions from your house. From I-25, go East on I-70 and exit onto southbound Colorado Blvd. City Park is between 23rd and 17th Ave and Colorado Blvd and York St. Course is in SW corner, closest to 17th and York Street. The Park will be closed to vehicular traffic on race day! Parking options include the lots by the zoo and museum (NE corner of park), East High School parking lot, and the Esplanade south of the course. If you park on adjacent neighborhood streets, please protect the future of our race by respecting park neighbors! Avoid indecent exposure and don't warm up in driveways or yards!

Registration & Additional Fees

Send completed 2007 ACA Standard Athlete’s Entry and Release Form along with check for fees payable to: RMRC, c/o Bill Barr, 801 Josephine, Denver, CO 80206.

All racers must have an ACA license (1-day licenses available for $10). $5 Late Fee applies on race day and to entries postmarked after May 26. $5 Unattached Rider Fee for racers who are not members of a club. Race day registration opens at 6:30am and closes 15 minutes prior to each race.
